The Mill Studio is tucked inside a historic Yorkshire mill, it combines the character of its industrial past with a softer more contemporary interior. A calm creative space conveniently positioned between Huddersfield, Wakefield and the surrounding Yorkshire countryside.
The Mill's original beams and character sit alongside soft, natural textures and carefully chosen furnishings creating a gorgeously understated backdrop. Light moves beautifully throughout the studio through the day, softened by sheer curtains and a warm, neutral palette providing an inviting and characterful setting for photography, branding, workshops, masterclasses, courses and hands-on creativity.

The Mill Studio was founded by Dani Lou, a mummy, photographer and creative who understands what makes a space feel inspiring, practical and welcoming.
You’re welcome to hire the studio as a standalone space and bring your own creative team, clients, students, guests and ideas. Dani will be there to welcome you, show you around and help you get settled, with as much or as little guidance as you need.
If you’d like an extra pair of hands, Dani can also support your session, workshop or event. From helping to curate the space and style the details to capturing behind-the-scenes content, brand imagery or additional photographs, support can be tailored around what you need on the day.
